Rural Garden, Ropley
Large rural garden design, taking inspiration from existing mature trees and surrounding countryside to create a new woodland edge border. Together with a classic yew hedge as the backdrop and yew archway to the orchard, this garden now offers great seasonal interest and super views from the house.
Terrace To Enhance South Facing Aspect
This project was designed with close consideration taken to its south facing aspect. Access directly from the house extends the indoor/outdoor living space for entertaining, enjoying a coffee or for time with family. Dividing the garden into zones allows space for everyone, from an area for the fire pit to a peaceful bench to retreat to for enjoying the evening sun. Plants selected for the hot situation, such as Lavender, a selection of grasses together with Gaura, will mature ready for next season.
The client brief was to refresh the planting, working with texture and a limited colour palette, whilst keeping maintenance to a minimum. Incorporating Pittosporum 'Golf Ball', Hydrangea 'Little Lime', Geranium 'Rozanne' and spring flowering bulbs ensures there is interest in the border all year round, offering a view from the house that changes with the seasons.
